Bacho. The Guardian of the Trail
Bacho’s path began with a single, persistent request: since the age of three, he asked his parents for only one thing—a horse. That same year, he was placed on a horse bareback for the first time. The warmth, the scent, and the raw power of the animal changed him; from that moment, he no longer belonged to the city.
This obsession defined his childhood. When he wasn't asking for a horse, he was running away from home to find them in neighboring villages, riding wild horses while others were in school. Fearing for his safety, his parents tried to compromise, buying him an "Aist" bicycle instead.
At six, Bacho made his first definitive adult choice. He sold the bicycle through his uncle’s hardware store, added his meager savings, and bought a three-month-old black foal from the village of Tabatskuri.
That foal was the beginning of a herd that now numbers twenty.
Experience & Integrity
-
A Lifetime in the Saddle: Leading expeditions since 2010, Bacho knows the Borjomi-Kharagauli wilderness not by maps, but by instinct.
-
True Ownership: He is not a hired guide on rented horses. He is a man who raised, trained, and lives alongside his own animals.
-
The Path of Freedom: For Bacho, the mountains are not a workplace, but the only space where he feels truly alive.
To be the guest of someone who so authentically and totally loves their craft is a rare honor. With Bacho, you don’t receive a "tourist service"—you experience the mountains through the eyes of a man who has never lived anywhere else.
