Kaleidoscope of Excitement
On this trip you will meet not only the depth of Tibet, but also the bright colors of soulful warm Nepal. Delicious "momos", smiling faces on the streets, ancient Durbar Square and sightseeing around Kathmandu's holy sites.
Here we will spend a few days preparing the necessary visas and permits to visit the sacred territory of Tibet. Not a bad place to wait!
The purpose of our onward journey is a pilgrimage to the holy Mount Kailas. It is called the sacred center of the universe for both Buddhists and Hindus. Just as the Earth makes a circle around the luminary, pilgrims make a circumambulation around the sacred Mount Kailas.
"Kora" is ritual circumambulation in Tibetan, "parikrama" in Sanskrit. According to legends, those who perform kora around Kailas, shed the karmic burden of the past, where the Drolma-La pass symbolizes death and birth into a new life. It is believed that the one who made "parikrama" is saved for centuries and the worst thing that can await him from now on is incarnation in the human body.
