Tibet: The Path to 13 Blessings

Kora of Enlightenment: Tibet in the Year of the Horse, where every step equals thirteen

Every year, more than 3 million people come to Tibet. Among the visitors of this majestic country, one can find unusual adventurers, seekers of spiritual enlightenment, as well as those who simply need a break from the bustle of the modern world. What unites them all is that they all find answers to their questions.

Tibet is a place where history meets magic and spirituality, leaving a mark in the hearts of everyone who bravely discovers this wonderful country for themselves.

Kailash – the goal of our journey

The sacred Mount Kailash (6714 m) is a holy mountain for six religions: Hinduism, Buddhism, Jainism, Tengrism, the Bon religion, and the Ayyavazhi religion. It calls out to those who have lost the meaning of life and those who wish to find new goals. The Kora (circumambulation) around Mount Kailash is an attempt to change one's life, the course of one's thoughts; it is a journey into oneself. It is believed that during the three-day trek, our soul symbolically lives through another life, leaves current karma behind, and receives the opportunity to change its destiny.

If we measure the route not in the number of spiritual revelations, but in kilometers, one must walk 53 km. Usually, this takes three days, although many Tibetans complete this route in just one day. For pilgrims and tourists, guest houses are built along the route where one can stay overnight and warm up a bit.

Those who have completed the kora around Kailash feel that, finally, everything in life has become clear and understandable. The sense of fear and fuss disappears, and new thoughts and fresh solutions appear in the head. Buddhists call this feeling a moment of enlightenment.

Why is it important to go this year?

2026 is the Year of the Horse according to the Tibetan calendar, and this time possesses special spiritual power! According to ancient Tibetan beliefs, in the Year of the Horse, the energy of sacred places, and especially Mount Kailash, is multiplied manifold. By performing a kora (ritual circumambulation) around Kailash during this period, a pilgrim receives an incredible blessing: one kora counts as 13!

This is a unique chance to "live" 13 lives at once, cleanse karma from many incarnations, and receive the power of 13 blessings that will open new paths and opportunities in one's fate. Such an opportunity will not come again for another 12 years — until the next Year of the Horse!
